In a world wide conversation on equal pay, Iceland is the first country to equalize the gender pay gap. For the first day of the new year Iceland’s new law went into effect that women are to be paid the same wage as their male counterpart. This means that women in Iceland who have the same work ethic, the same credentials and the same experience as their male counterpart can no longer get offered less than their male counterpart for the same job!
